Area seaside

The Cirica area, located in the territory of Santa Maria del Focallo (Ispica), is one of the most enchanting spots along the southeastern coast of Sicily. It features a series of coves, light-colored cliffs, natural pools, and stretches of golden sand, making it an ideal destination for those seeking tranquility, authentic landscapes, and crystal-clear waters. Far removed from mass tourism, it still retains an unspoiled Mediterranean atmosphere, filled with the scents of Mediterranean scrub and the constant sound of waves. Cirica beach is especially cherished for its wild beauty and the presence of small inlets accessible by foot or canoe. The shallow, sandy seabed makes it perfect for families with children, as well as for snorkeling enthusiasts or anyone who enjoys swimming in clear, calm waters. Due to its exposure and natural features, this area offers spectacular sunsets and starry skies free from light pollution. Nearby, there are places of significant historical, cultural, and gastronomical interest. In just a few minutes by car, one can reach Ispica with its charming Sinatra loggia, the late Baroque towns of Modica, Scicli, Noto, and Ragusa, all recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as natural reserves and protected areas like the mouth of the Irminio River or the Vendicari reserve. To the south, the marine landscapes of Marzamemi unfold, an ancient fishing village now famous for its lively atmosphere and seaside venues, alongside Portopalo di Capo Passero, the southeastern tip of the island. Further south lies the Isola delle Correnti, a symbolic and physical point where the Ionian Sea meets the Mediterranean Sea, characterized by powerful and wild nature that leaves a lasting impression. Thus, Cirica serves as an ideal starting point for exploring a diverse region rich in experiences, encompassing the sea, art, nature, and authentic flavors.
